Good interview.

He was rightly criticised last season as his performances this season are proving.
For whatever reason Nasri has elevated his game to the levels I knew he was capable, his industry is matching his fabulous ability and subsequently he is a joy to watch.

His interview on ITV probably explains a bit. A thinly disguised dig at Mancini if ever I've heard one.

He has been improving since the middle of last season. He was picking up form and then a stupid sending off at Norwich and some pesky injuries disrupted this.

Leaps and bounds came once he got a good run of games under his belt. He started the last six games of the title winning season and did well.

It always seems that when Nasri and Silva are playing, if one of them plays well the other is quiet. Don't remember them both playing well in the same match that often.

At the time of posting this was probably an accurate assessment, but tonight and of late they are both playing really well and we are reaping the benefits.

I have always thought they had a relatively special relationship, maybe not at the level of Balo but better than ordinary. I mean I forgot the no. of times I've seen Mancini giving him one on one instructions at the touch line and even a few times in the tunnel. It's like nasri was his on field lieutenant.

Obviously Mancini had criticized him in public, just like he had to a lot of the other players. But it does come off as the manager really disappointed his special player isnt fulfilling his potential, more than anything.

Re: Samir Nasri

Never seen him be so direct before, certainly has something to do with the manager.

Needs to keep his form going away from home as well though.

Re: Samir Nasri

It's because Teves doesn't get in the way anymore. He and Silva have more freedom because the front two are more disciplined in their roles. Great to see him in such good form. Hope it last all season.

His form away from home has been okay. Was good against Plzen, West ham, the second half of Chelsea and Aston Villa.

Dont think its anything to do with Tevez, its obvious Pellegrini is giving more freedom to the forward players.

I got hammered for saying that last season from the "Tevez is the best player we've ever had" brigade.
