Was ok last night - still looks to dither on the ball and I'm relieved when he finds a team mate. Probably more to do with me as he's definitely improved.

Sorry but although he did very well last night and call me old fashioned, but Clichy is by far the better defender.Kolarov is a better crosser and free kick specialist but I like defenders to ... erm ... defend.

The thing is oakie I've not seen too much of that Clichy since the 11/12 season when he was indeed outstanding. Last season he dropped Mangala in it at least as often as Kolarov did IMO, Hull and West Ham away stick in the mind as examples that cost us goals. Currently I'd definitely prefer Kolarov because he offers much more going forward.

Always feel like he is going to score when he's taking a free kick.

he did very well in the air, dealt with some very dangerous balls under pressure
good distribution , magnificent 70 yard pass to Navas ,Sterling helped him a lot too very quick to offer support, in attack and defence

Change in the modern game now, full backs are there to stretch the game. How many times do you see the likes of Dani Alves holding the centre halfs hand keeping it tight at the back?

Sterling coming inside is going to create a lot of opportunities for Kolorov to ping his crosses in, I just hope Manuel will coach Fernandhino to drop in to a full back position ala Gareth Barry.

He was unbelieveable last night, best iv'e seen him play I think. He's always had great feet and superb skills, he and Sterling could become a deadly duo. I hope he gets an extended run in the team now. Anyone know when Clichy is back?
