Fantastic performance last night.

Cracking player, here for both title wins with goals and assists along the way - should be recognised as a City legend along with the core of that first winning team Hart, zaba, vinnie, yaya, silva, Sami and sergio.
Haha,you never know,someone might bite.

First of all we played Borrosia Monchengladbach, not Dortmund. Jees ...

Both BMG goals came from the right side. For the first Kolarov had to go inside to cover up for our two CB's but the ball was played through for the extra man left. For their second it was a pinball goal that made us look silly, and again with no involvemment from Kolarov whatsoever. Now the times I did see Kolarov he was attacking, crossing, shooting, including his sneaky trickery ones every game. Pity he didn't get a chance to show his freekick specialty as well. Those elements is why I like Kolarov. And that's why Pellegrini rates him and why he is our number one leftback. There are only very few leftbacks in the PL or Europe who are better than him.
Jees... indeed, my apologies - it was late, I'd had a crap time getting back from the game, yet I was a bit giddy after the comeback. I do still maintain that he is a liability defensively and I would disagree that there are only a few better the Kolarov. Time will tell if either one of us is right. Oh and if you look at the second goal again tell me who it was stood the wrong side of the scorer with his hand up for offside - just saying...

I thought it was one of his better defensive efforts last night, along with being one of his worse crossing days. He did a good job of reading the game and covering across when the right hand side went missing, often playing as the left sided CB when Mangala had to go across to cover in behind Otamendi and Clichy. Unfortunately that left us with no LB for the first goal, but there is nothing he can do about that. He's had many days when he wouldn't have done that, so fair play to him.

I'd agree with this.

Last night Kolarov's play WAS BETTER than it has been for most of the season, however his main influence, having watched it at the ground, seemed to come after our 3rd goal. Still valid play but we could've done with it in the 1st half.

I knew people would be creaming over his nutmeg as soon as it happened, but a nutmeg does not make a player a good attacking threat nor does it fall under the responsibilities or expectations of a defender. Being first to go and celebrate another player scoring doesn't make him a good player either.

I'll give him his due, he played better and his assist for Bony was well picked out, mainly because it wasn't his normal whack it an hope. I think even Caballero could've picked that ball out though (given the time he had and the empty penalty area). But fair play to him he got the ball to the right place at the right time; that's what I expect from our full backs.

He just needs to some how become a defender. Their first chance from Korb at about 4mins was a perfect microcosm of 70% of Kolarov's defending; poor awareness, soft challenge, out of position and not quick enough or enough desire to track back.

I seriously hope he can improve defensively and save us the need to go out and get a new left back, but I fear he's too far gone to change dramatically. When opposition managers are picking him out as a weak link and exploiting him to beat us 2-0 with a shit team, you can't really use one game to defend him. All I want is for him to show some signs of improvement defensively; he can fail to beat the first man with crosses all he wants as long as he can start helping to keep things tight at the back.

He took the game to the opposition from the start of the second half and that set the tempo. Seems like some people just want to hate him for the sake of it. Very tedious.

He's played a lot this season + every game for Serbia so if his form sometimes is a bit up and down, its understandable. But last night he was good and there are not many more passionate than him, which I love.
