He's a player who should be nowhere near our starting 11. I think he is a really average footballer and should be finally sold this summer. Awful again today.

As a man though I can't help but like him. Seems to have a great humour, popular with the other players and respects the staff behind the scenes. One of the few that actually cares about the club. Top man. Shit footballer.

Yes, @karen7 and @jayblue, he gets an unproportional amount of stick and it seems he can't do no right.

Firstly, for the supporters who loved Dunne even though he made premier league record number of own goals, I'm sure you can forgive Aleks's first in all the years he's been with City, or?

Today he prevented Ighealo free on goal in the first half, drew one defender away for De Bruyne's shot on target in 2nd half, crossed a great ball towards Bony who didn't even challenge for it, he whipped in the corner on the foot of Yaya's goal (I think Silva is magnificent, but his corners in the 1st half were fruitless), and finally late in the 2nd half he nodded a ball away which, if it passed, would surely have set a Watford player free on goal.

Just my humble opinion of course.

My thoughts on kolarov have nothing to do with his own goal. In fact I'd forgotten about it to be honest. One thing I haven't forgotten about is that he is one awful fullback who can't defend for toffee But wow he can twat a curving ball in with his left foot occasionally. I could do that when I was twelve.

I just remembered Silva had a fruitless corner before Kolarov, if it was in the 2nd half then apologies for my mistake. Not that we are any good at corners anyway, even when Kolarov, Silva or De Bruyne have taken them, but I believe credit should go where credit is due.

Yes considering how big our team is we do not score enough from set pieces no matter who takes them. For me giving the job to De Bruyne would be a smart move as would actually working on them. I think he's the sort to thrive on knowing he is taking them all ala Wolfsburg. It's as if Manuel doesn't think we need to worry about it. Great finish from Yaya mind.

Delusional. Side's don't attack down their right against other teams? Get over yourself
I can't remember who posted a video of a manager we recently played where they confirmed attacking our left back was their main plan - so I'm afraid delusional is incorrect. I will look back at a plethora of posts when I have finished ironing my sock draw - lets just accept we disagree about the capabilities of our Serbian international.

If you could do what he can do when you were 12, the natural follow-up question is why you are not the first team left back of Manchester City by now?

Jokes aside, where you see only his perceived faults and problems, I see his positives as well. I listed the positive things he did during the game and I'm happy you didn't say anything against that so therefore I'm sure you agree on these points.

Now, you will never hear me say that Kolarov is the best left back defensively I've ever seen. But I believe everybody agrees that a full back must be able to attack as well, just like Sagna did for Sergio's goal, I'm sure you agree. But whereas Sagna does makes the odd assist, Kolarov is a machine for dangerous balls into the area. Sometimes they turn into assists, where we all cheer and rejoyce. But oh, how many times have we all despaired to see a fantastic, hard-drilled "Kola-ball-between-back-line-and-goalie" go wasted, and here the woe should be shouldered by our other offensive players who didn't get on the end of them.

So, when you have a player who is so lethal forward and not great defensively, you have to see what the total outcome and contributions in play of Kolarov's negatives vs positives.

Obviously both Mancini and Pellegrini think the total outcome of his contribution in a game is positive, and I for one agree with them.

What a muppet I called you Delusional for saying 10 thousands blue mooners could have taken that corner
Wow, So I'm a delusional muppet, thanks for that. I'll give Jim Henson a call. You do know it's ok to have a different opinion than you. I'm sure there are many players who have played for us that we could disagree about but that is what makes this forum better. It would be banal if we all thought the same - btw surely even you could take a corner to the near post, I know I could and so could most of the members on here.
