There was one moment in the second half just past their semi circle (almost inside right) where he somehow managed to float a little bit backwards then left around the defender before suddenly going forwards and past them into space. All the time he was facing forwards, it was like watching a hovercraft and somehow unnatural for a footballer to be able to move like that with or without the ball.

True, but he was at fault on their second goal.
 
Another sublime display from the little Magician yesterday.

We really are running out of adjectives to describe him.

As I have said before, I feel privileged to be able to watch him in a City shirt every home game.

And again yesterday, he showed that it's not only when we have the ball that he is vital to our team; his defensive skills in helping to break up opposition attacks are also an important part of his game.

There is no doubt David Silva will go down in history as one of the greatest players ever for Manchester City.

Yes, but not half as much as our centre backs were.
 
There's little doubt in my mind that David will come to rank alongside Colin Bell in our supporters' affection. Not just because of his performances on the pitch, but also how he conducted himself off it.

David and Colin are very quiet and shy by disposition which means they'll have managed to achieve this popularity without really making any effort. It just simply arrived at their door.

As well as being very shrewd and canny, David's also very strong willed and independent minded. These characteristics have delivered him to City and kept him here.

Fucking love the guy.
 
I consider myself pretty literate with an average vocabulary.

I can tell layman about the greatest and most complicated developments in physics, a subject that is alien to most. Translating the complex to the more basic is something that I feel that I do well. I will never find the words either spoken or in literary form that can fully describe the talent and impact of David Silva.

That is probably the greatest compliment that I could personally give to somebody else.
