Is this a new found scoring touch?! Puts them away far better than previous years.

No coincidence when we have Yaya, Nasri & Merlin on the field we can pass a lot easier and move about more effectively.
 
I'm not eloquent enough to describe what a truly magnificent player he is.

He has always had the ability to score: he bagged 10 in his last season for Valencia. He should score more but no complaints on that front today. His first touch on his first goal today was perfection.
 
Merlin was absolutely sublime today.

He linked up brilliantly with his fellow attackers, played his part in keeping a clean sheet and scored two great goals.

But the cherry on the cake this evening was that wonderful pass to Edin for his gpal.

How privileged are we to be able to watch the little magician playing in Sky Blue?

Remember seeing him early on at the stadium of light and thinking he was useless and wouldn't make it! Shows what I know. If he left tomorrow we have been truly blessed. An absolute diamond of a player and person.
