Player Topic: David Silva (2015/16)

I cannot believe this thread the last day. He is an incredible player who is a credit to this club. He had an average game in bad conditions after an injury lay off. I think he is entitled to the odd bad day.

In fairness to Dave, minutes or not he probably shouldnt have started yesterday. For us historically, Stoke is a place we need to go and gut out a result, not a place a silky footballer like Silva is going to get freedom and the creative licence that he likes.

No one is immune to criticism. David is his own biggest critic.
Is he happy about his performance? Of course he isn't.

However some of the comments on here are shameful.

The reality is he's played 80 minutes after a 2 month lay off due a nasty ankle injury & he has to play away at Stoke in 40 mph winds, not ideal.

How someone can compare Yaya Toure to David Silva is beyond me. So you're expecting the best creative player ever in PL history who is 5 foot 7 to put his foot in (after injury to his ankle) as much as a 6 foot plus built like a brick shit house central midfielder?

'Fucking disgraceful' indeed. Do you understand football?

Even if Dave goes and hits two into our own net- dribbling past hart, I would still love him! That's what he has achieved for City till now.

What a goal from silva tonight, could have had a couple more but what a second half from him as well was everywhere set up the sterling goal by out jumping the far taller gladbach player to nod on for bony, hopefully stays fit right through the season now...

The key for us - full stop. Best player in our squad, please keep fit now.

He was brilliant tonight in tight spaces. One of the few players who didn't waste his passes and kept us possesion whilst others were desperate to give Gladbach the ball back. Gorgeous goal as well. He was dying to pass it. He looked, waited, looked, waited then obviously though fuck it, I'm having a go.
Made up for him.

Best player in our history.
I cannot argue with that. I know none of us saw pre-war, between war and shortly after post-war City but there are a few on here who've been watching us since the 50s and I'd like to hear their views on your post.

El Mago!

Not fully fit today, but he was a fucking disgrace, a total disgrace. If Yaya had performed like that he'd be lynched on here.
David Silva is not, never has been, and never will be a fucking disgrace. You should look a lot fucking closer to home than that you complete fucking clown
