He's not the most skilled

uhhh..... what.

What a performance from Merlin tonight, West Brom could do absolutely nothing about him. I actually started laughing a few times because he was making everything look so easy. An unbelievable talent and we are lucky to get to watch him play every week.

World 11. I just wish he'd speak English to us. He's been here long enough now and should be fluent in the language (see Zabba) and yet every time we hear from him it's in Spanish. Ditto Sergio.

I think it's fair enough to say that was his best performance in our shirt tonight.

I've never seen him dominate a game for 90 minutes like that.

Now here's the thing, and it's why signing De Bruyne is absolutely fucking crucial now. I can't put in words how important it is.

He was playing centrally tonight. By far and away his best position. I thought it was criminal that we used him on the left last year. Playing behind the striker, in 4-3-3, I'm absolutely genuine when I say he's as good as Iniesta and better than Xavi. Gets in a world 11 every single time.

De Bruyne will give the balance we need in a 4-3-3 and help bring the absolute best out of Spanish Dave.

He is going to be hitting his peak this season. If we use him properly, then just sit back blues. Soak it in. You may never see it again.

Stop moaning, he makes the ball speak 10 different languages at once.

Worth every penny of the petrol and ticket money tonight, he just ran the show from start to finish. Best bit for me was where he went past 2 or 3 defenders right along the by-line and flashed it across the face of goal. Definite pen late in the game, I think Dean was feeling sorry for West Brom by then.

His position behind the striker is definitely his best position. But I think you meant 4-2-3-1. The diff is the striker plays in front of an attacking MF line in that formation. Not to get too technical though..they are mostly variations of the 4-3-3. With DB on the left side, we'll make up one of the weaknesses in the team last year.

Best player in his position in the world, dictates games like he's playing against school kids. Hope he has another 10 years in him.
