Not entirely sure we'll truly be able to replace him. His combination of touch, skill, vision, passing, movement, and sheer tenacity (not to mention ruggedness given he gets a good hiding every match from bewildered defenders) is very, very rare. Messi has most of those things, and is better at a many, but he's not as wholehearted as our Dave.

He is a going to live a bigger hole in the team than Yaya, Aguero, or Vincent.
