Hopefully SuperKev MKII can fill those magical boots today. Losing Merlin is a big blow though. The best midfielder in the PL, any side would miss him.

His absence is so much more pronounced this season than ever before because in Sterling and De Bruyne we've bought 2 players who are best suited to the counter attack.
People talk about De Bruyne's passing but it's the throughball which he is good at, not orchestrating possession. De Bruyne is more like Ozil than Silva.
Don't need to go into Sterling's possession game.
Yaya playing further forward, leaving the Ferns to be the ball players from deep - something neither are good at - made it even worse today

He is the player that makes our team tick, he's the only player on the books that can put that impossible slide rule pass. We miss him badly and I hope he's better sooner rather than later.

I just hope we don't rush him back for Wednesday and cause further problems, if it's a fluid build-up I'd guess draining it off and a few days rest should do the trick.

Says it all for all the money spent on players,we are so reliant on silva doesn't bear thinking when we have to replace him...

yup thats how i see it as well...there were people on here acting if KDB was the second coming last week and saying that he will be as good as silva..he is a very good player but until he can control the whole tempo of not just our team but of the whole match he won't be in the same class as silva
