going to be very difficult to replace Silva When he leaves or retires, and i think i can say that without doubt there is not one player at liverpool that is fit to lace our Davids boots, or come to think of it i dont see any player in the prem that could replace him.

I'd be tempted to go with Silva as a false nine and KDB behind him centrally with Sterling and Navas giving width while Aguero's out.

It would make much more sense just to go with Sterling at 9, MP has mentioned several times that he can be used as a striker, and he played there most of last season. You could also say he was at his best when stuck up there against Watford as well.

That is another good option. Without being anti-Bony I just think those 4 give us the best chance to play how we like to

It would make even more sense to just play our £30m striker as a striker, rather than discard him because he hasn't hit the ground running in his 5 starts spread across 9 months. But that's just me. Bony has the chance to play more football for us in the next month than he has in his entire time here, which will surely only benefit him.

Its good he should get a full 90 minute run against Bournemouth, give him a full game to really prove himself. At home too and against 'lower' opposition. Hopefully he can step up and start scoring.... We need him too!

I thought this was the David Silva thread.

Is Merlin starting against Luxembourg tonight?
