Exactly. To us he's priceless, but to others he's a 30 year old with no resale value that's about to begin his decline. People that think we'd get £70m for him are in cloud cuckoo land.I've always felt that if David was to be sold it would be for a lot lower than we'd hope. He's not a superstar celebrity (or English) and I think that factors into it but, now that he's hit 30, I'd be surprised if we got £25m for him.
Needless to say, he's worth way more than that to us so I hope he stays for a few more years and then gets his wish of joining Las Palmas similar to Zola leaving Chelsea for Cagliari.
