I by no means want him replaced but during this prolonged absence I've been looking for a player that can come in and take on his role when he inevitably leaves/retires.

This endeavour has been depressing because I have come up empty handed. Of course, there is no reason that a younger player will not present themselves as having the same qualities in the next few years (Manu Garcia may very well be the one) but right now I am not aware of a single "finished product" central attacking midfielder that could fill his boots. And especially not at his level of skill and consistency.

We are spoilt, to be sure.

It annoys me when he doesn't play through injury because I feel cheated knowing that's one game less I see of David silva haha.

A true joy to watch. I'm glad the masses are finally starting (or were, before his injury) to applaud his sorcery

We should savour every moment we have with him at City. Watch him live, both with and without the ball, and you see an true artist at work.

He wanted to play but understandable caution by MP.
I will pass on your positive comments to him tomorrow.
In May we will reap the benefits of these decisions IF we win tomorrow.

Cheers bluwhit, can see him getting some minutes against juventus mid-week possibly.,makes one hell of a difference to the team when he plays, hopefully we get the three points sat tea time without him...

I'm sure he played with an injury most of last season. Maybe if De Bruyne wasn't available he'd be playing tomorrow.

The signings of Kevin & Raheem have made a massive difference.
David can get the right recuperation now. Even with Samir injured we can do this.
It's good for David, City & Spain.
