You are entitled to your opinion, but I wholeheartedly disagree. To say "...he is a good player, that is all..." I find embarrassing.
I imagine most intelligent football fans from across Europe would disagree with you. He's nicknamed "Merlin" for good reason.
And if they dont agree that dave is this out of this world player then they are unintelligent right?
Each to his own dammo mate but to say hes the finest withtranaldo aside is waaay off imo..when you have Zola,suarez and Bergkamp into that, even Carlito you have to go some to beat them...and Gio? in the modern day he would have chewed dave up and played keepy up with the remains am afraid...btw, i like Dave and in noway said otherwise, i just think he is given a status that far outweighs reality..Top top footballer yes, but the best? NEVER.

And as for Gio, as much as I loved him during some particularly dark days, Silva is 10 times the player Gio ever was. Gio was a better dribbler granted, but Silva is streets ahead of him in every other aspect.

I've watched Bell,Lee and Summeebee,Tueart,Barnes and Kiddo,Reeves,Daley and Francis,Parlane Tolmie and Melrose,Stewart,White and Adcock,Quinn,Allen and Ward,Rosler,Walsh and Gio,Goater,Dickov and Taylor,Anelka,Huckerby and Bernarbia,Fowler,Samaras and Corradi,Bianchi,Elano and Giovanni,Adebayor,Tevez and Dzeko,Aguero,Negredo and Jovetic.David Silva is in my opinion the finest player I've ever seen play for Man City, above Yaya and Aguero let alone Kinkladze.
In fact he is probably the finest player I've seen in the English league outside of Ronaldo.
He is an exceptionally gifted talent.
Silva is the finest of the lot,even my old fella who's gone since 1949 says the same.

Top player then cheesy if that helps, but to hold him as one of the greatest and indeed in dammos opinion only second behind tranny is waaay off the mark..and totally disagree regs gio...opinions opinions and like most of us i too was there through the early 80s and onwards.

Yip, he is a number 10 and a number 10 only..in which case there is an immediate dilemma as imo again, that is the only position for KDB...its gonna be interesting for sure.
