Can somebody confirm how much we've paid for him? Porto have said they got €30m for their 57% of him but I can't imagine we've paid over €50m for him, despite how good he is.

well as it's been highlighted this morning in the 'agenda' thread by an ex-journalist that the media are liars and cockroaches, it's best to assume Porto's lawful declaration would be more accurate

Yup, the 8 million goes to 3rd parties.

OFICIAL: Mangala custa 30,5 milhões por metade do passe
FC Porto comunica oficialmente através de comunicado à CMVM
Por Redação há 20 minutos Depois do Manchester City ter anunciado oficialmente a contratação de Mangala, também o FC Porto fez o mesmo através de um comunicado enviado à CMVM.

De acordo com a nota da SAD portista, o FC Porto recebe 30,5 milhões de euros pelos 57,67 por cento do passe que detinha relativamente ao jogador.

O que significa que Mangala foi avaliado em 53,8 milhões de euros.


Recorde-se que o FC Porto já tinha vendido 33,3 por cento do passe de Mangala à Doyen Sports e tinha atribuído, logo quando o contratou ao Standard Liège, 10 por cento à Robi Plus. Por isso detinha apenas 56,67 por cento do passe.

«A Futebol Clube do Porto - Futebol, SAD, nos termos do artigo 248º nº1 do Código dos Valores Mobiliários, vem informar o mercado que chegou a um acordo com o Manchester City para a cedência, a título definitivo, dos direitos de inscrição desportiva, e dos 56,67% dos direitos económicos que detinha, do jogador profissional de futebol Eliaquim Mangala, pelo valor de 30.500.000 € (trinta milhões e quinhentos mil euros).

OFFICIAL: Mangala cost 30.5 million for half of the pass
FC Porto officially announced in a statement to the CMVM
On Writing 20 minutes ago After Manchester City have officially announced the hiring of Mangala, also FC Porto did the same in a statement sent to the CMVM.

According to the note from FC Porto SAD, FC Porto receives EUR 30.5 million for 57.67 percent of the pass which held regarding the player.

Which means Mangala was valued at EUR 53.8 million. (£42,453,328)
Recall that Porto had sold 33.3 percent of pass the Mangala Doyen Sports and had assigned, just when hired to Standard Liège, 10 percent to Robi Plus. So had only 56.67 percent of the pass.

I'm sure he'll be a good signing because I trust Mr Pellegrini BUT why is it every time we sign a new player it's "the final piece in the jigsaw". How many jigsaws have we got?? ;-)

Yup, the 8 million goes to 3rd parties.

if 56.67% = 30.5m Euros then 100% = 54m Euros = £43m
