Re: Mangala

Impressive again yesterday apart from a couple of moments where he dwelled on the ball a bit to long and tried to take to many touches.

Read the game really well.

Very combative in the air and almost scored with a bullet header from a corner.

Played out accurately and sensibly from the back throughout.

Was happy to 'carry' the ball and showed he is forward thinking.

Early signs are very very promising.

Re: Mangala

Seems to prefer the challenge of being up against a physical striker, he thrived on out muscling both Costa and Benteke.

I thought youd made a remarkable recovery for a second.......

It's even more confusing when they quote each other.

Danamy alerted me to the thread, it's awful news and strange as I think a few think it's me.

Re: Mangala

In an attacking sense, he's been a bit unlucky at corners so far. Hit the post with a volley at Hull last week. At Villa his header would've probably gone in if the slight deflection off the defender hadn't taken the pace off and diverted it back towards the keeper.

Just checked his stats and he scored 13 in 92 games for Porto. Even allowing for the fact that Porto were very dominant domestically, that's a decent strike rate for a centre half.

Hope I'm not jinxing the lad, but I'll definitely be looking at his price for first, last & anytime goalscorer.

Why, what's happened to Rammy Blues?

Re: Mangala

First clean sheet of many in his Man City career.

It will take him a few games to adjust to the Premiership, but he has impressed me big time.

Remember last season it took Fernandinho 5/6 games to adjust, then he dominated every midfield in the country.

Re: Mangala

Finally given a game for France! Anyone been watching? They are winning 2-1 against portugal, the goal they conceded was a penalty conceded by pogba. Sagna is playing too.
