Silva took a season to adjust to the game over here and look at him now. Such a shame his goal yesterday was not a winning one. It will be forgotten about because we lost.

Same goes for Mangala - I would give him this season to adjust - the pace of the game here is so fast compared to Portugal where playing for Porto and Benfica is a piece of p**s when you look at the opposition they face on a weekly basis.

I think the lack of a real DM player in the team is affecting both Mangala and Vinnie. Both are totally exposed.

We had a 'pure' DM playing in front of the yesterday but due his being pairs with yaya he had far to much on his plate and couldn't shield the back 4 properly. This as you say left the back 4 exposed.

Yep, Fernando should drop to shield with Fernandinho and Toure in front.

Well we have to change something as things aint working too good at the moment. I think the signs were there last week against Spurs - we got a bit lucky with their poor finishing and defence plus the penalty save changed the way the game was going.

It hasnt just happened over the last one and half games - its been there virtually all season.

Hope we play a completely different 11 on Wednesday - dont want any stupid suspensions for the derby or injuries. Rags might be bricking it if one of their influential players gets sent off today or injured - who knows!

Clichy seemed to be sent upfield to what was almost a left wing role. Mangala was left to cope at left back and seemed lost. Each time he was challenged or received a pass he appeared to be wrong footed. Think he is playing in the wrong position.?

He'll come good the big fella! Still maintain the system and unfortunately clichy are putting him under huge pressure at the minute.

Don't think it helps that Clichy and Kolsrov are bring constantly rotated. He needs a settled fullback next to him.

Might it be an idea to swop him and vinny? Mangala might not have to panic as much on zabbas side? Clichy was absolutely dreadful yesterday and left him wide open!

Mangalas all left foot though so would struggle that side
