Well he's still young and younger players always have a bit of inconsistency about them. But with a partner like Vincent he's got someone to really excel next to.

First time for me, too.

I thought he was immense today. I actually voted for Jimmy as MotM, but it wasn't an easy decision. The lad has pace aplenty, he's big, strong, obviously a good reader of the game and will hopefully form a partnership with VK that will be the best central defensive pairing in the world for years.

I've been waiting to see him play ever since he signed and I have to say it was worth waiting for. Manuel and his team obviously knew what they were doing, holding him back.

As has already been said, when we have Nando back sitting in front of them, we will be extremely difficult to break down.

I am so excited about the latest addition to our squad. Onwards and upwards.

What an investment this lad could turn out to be, he's got age on his side and still learning the game.

Raw talent and will hopefully now get a run of PL games to settle in

Hugely impressive debut - like others I'm thinking about the years to come with Mangala and Kompany in defence sat behind Toure and Fernando

Looks a great talent. Will probably make mistakes now and then but that Porto fan was right on the money, we could have another elite CB on our hands. Was quite shocked at how quick he is. Shhould really help us control games further up the pitch.

Love Demi but his lack of pace means we are sometimes deeper than we need to be.

Looks too good for that position already from what I've seen. Has he ever played in a more advanced role? If not then I'd be sorely tempted to have him in both midfield and defensive roles.
