Been wondering how to pronounce his name as surely it can't be "Ellakwim" as heard by the stadium announcer...

And it isn't.

Brilliant debut.

Honestly, this guy is the real deal. He was fantastic at Porto and has carried on the same form with us. He adds some much needed pace to our back four.

Kompany and Mangala have the potential to be the best partnership in Europe.

After watching that I think we will have a formidable defence when he teams up with Fernando - both very strong, fast and elasticated legs.

Another thing I noticed in the clip was a deliberate trip by Fabragas on him that should have been a yellow card - Dean you biased buggar.
