Sadly, I said since we tooked him that he doesn t have it. But we should give him a try under Pep. I ve played football for long time now, and I can see if a player is a footballer or not. Unfortunately, Delph doesn t have it either. But we do bought Otamendi, and he is a great defender.

Otamendi is culpable as well. I can't believe this pair have played together before you would never have guessed it!

He has been here a year and a half and I see no improvement at all.

Got worse if anything But there is a decent player in there unfortunately our manager and his staff can't coach a player to make them better. With the lack of organisation and work on the training ground by the defensive coach it means the defenders are suffering

Thank you for proving that having played football is absolutely zero prerequisite for seeing if a footballer has it or not.

Not just the defenders mate.

Genuine question to you foreign football observers - What was he like at Porto? What did we see in him to justify signing him at the fee we paid?
I don't watch much foreign football. Only the Champions League really. I don't know how people have the time for it! But from what I remember at the time, the general consensus was that he was "raw", had "good physical attributes", but was "prone to errors".
