I like him and think he will become integral to us over the next few years
Really not suited to slippy conditions as he struggles to clear it comfortably even when the footing is good. Mangala seems to resemble a horse trying to kick the ball when he's hurried and it's slippy. For all the sloppiness, we gave them very, very little in the way of actual chances though today. (very) Ugly but effective today

He's not shit he's over exposed. 2 old and overplayed fullbacks at the sides. 2 old and overworked central midfielder in front of him. An old manager with out dated tactics on the bench. When you are put under so much pressure it's human nature to make mistakes.
Over exposed. Some defences in the premier league are defending for 90 minutes every week, are they over exposed. thats what he is there for to deal with pressure when it arrises.

what about Otamendi then? Deeney caused us the most problems today and Otamendi was his man. Mangala was given a tough time in tough conditions against the in form striker in the league, i'm not suggesting he was great but Ighalo didn't get a sniff until either Otamendi was marking him or Mangala went off.
Mangala will come good when we get a competent manager. Has all the attributes he just needs some man management.
