Mangala was awful, but didn't get any protection from the midfield, he has to improve sharply though, or he'll be sold.
It's so painfully obvious he's shit as fuck. Everyone can see it bar a select few city fans that for some reason refuse to. Never seen commentators take the piss with a player like they do with Mangala, you can tell they're wanting to laugh their bollocks off but have to keep it professional. Just as big a waste as Andy Caroll was to the dippers.Oh for fucks sake, get the violins out. Mangala apologist.

his biggest weakness is his positioning and his tendency to come charging out of defence thus leaving it exposed. One example yesterday, he chased one of their front players half way into their own half, he got turned and they sprang an attack on an unnecessarily exposed defence.
This has been my thought process for a while. Him & Kompany looked great at keeping big guys quiet, but he struggles far more with the small skillful players, when I saw our lineup I was hoping Benteke would start but sadly wasn't the case. Otamendi on the other hand is great at dealing with those sorts of players, I suppose dealing with Messi for a while aids that development.Good against a stationary battleram of a ST but against any kind of movement and pressure on him his woeful positional sense and composure on the ball is exposed.
Compounded by playing alongside Demichelis and behind the most immobile CM 2 I've ever seen, and in Fernando a player who is and will only ever be a holding DM. Asking him to build attacks in a CM 2 is to be completely clueless as to what he is capable of. Fernando wasn't shit last season because of injury, that's his own excuse, the reason is simply he was asked to play CM rather than DM behind 2 others.
It's the same shit as last year with Pellegrini
