I know some on here dont rate him that much but if he gets his fitness right he would be a very useful player, alongside dino, he was villa player of the season twice in a row for some reason

Should have left it at dino :-)
We need his energy to disrupt the opposition and win the ball, but the others then need to use it properly.

His shot summed him up. Limited. We bought him for two reasons. He was cheap and he is English. He is a back up player.

Offensively we were actually, worse in the second half which after that first half performance took some doing.

If he stays fit he's an asset. Mobile, tenacious and decent on the ball.

The 4-4-2 is a legitimate option again if we have him and Fernandinho grafting in the centre.

That's the most I've ever seen of him. Seemed to do ok.
Before I start, I like the lad, he's different to what we have, a good option to have, but......

He nearly doubled his minutes on the pitch for us today, but only played 45 minutes, yet it appears he could be the second coming, really ?

He did OK, which amongst so much dross, looked better than it was. I'd like to see him complete his first full 90 minutes for us (but not against Juve please), running about a lot won't beat Juve.

What are you droning on about a "second coming" for? The guy said, and I quote, "that's the most I've ever seen of him. Seemed to do ok."

There's too much of this jumping down people's throats whenever we get a poor result. The fact is that he was one of our best players yesterday (the best imo). You can dance around that by saying things like " he can't just run about against Juve" but that's besides the point; yesterday he played well whilst surrounded by an absolute mess. There should be no reason why anyone has a problem with someone saying that.
