this is starting to become a little strange tbh...is he really injured or are we looking here at a player+cash deadline day deal??? someone said days ago in a thread about a report in a newspaper about a fernando+cash deal for carvalho(sporting) well tolmie said that we may look at another player here and even from nasri com. last week you get the impression that someone may be lined up..

He was playing all year with a groin injury, he started brilliantly before the injury and we've seen defensive players take a season to adapt.

We won't be getting rid of him after a year.

Wouldn't be too fussed if he didnt play for us again tbf. Think he works hard but I just don't think he's good enough to play week in week out.

Are the same people who wrote off Managala in his first season, still ready to write off Fernando now, even having seen how it can work if a player settles down, gets match sharp etc ? Or is it a different bunch ?

I have no idea whether he'll do it or not, as he wasn't fit for a lot of last season & was new to to the league. But like Mangala, when he did play to his best, he looked seriously good, so maybe he can.
