His career stats are ridiculous. To score so many goals from midfield is unheard of. He is a class act on & off the field. All the fawning over Slippy G last weekend was nauseating, Lampard is the superior player & man.
The numbers shown proved it, all time most PL goals he was 4th or 5th, but Gerrard's name wasn't on the list, I assumed it was a mistake, but he was more than 50 behind Lampard, from a not dissimilar number of matches.

Not knocking Gerrard, he's been a great too, but the wank fest over him, compared to Lampard has been pathetic.
To be fair to Gerrard, Lampard played in a vastly superior team for the most part of their parallel careers and Gerrard also played as a pure midfielder whilst Frank was deployed as a No 10 more often than not at the height of his career which woukd explain the superior goal count.

For me both players were absolutely fantastic, but if I were forced to choose between them, I'd have probably gone for Gerrard as he had the better all round game of the two imo. All the same, I wouldn't have said no to either of them when they were kings.

England were blessed to have Gerrard, Lampard & the Ginger Pig all at the same time and as Danny Murphy said on MOTD, the only reason England had a problem trying to fit them all into the same team is because we followed the ManUre lead at international level and went 442. Any other formation would have seen all 3 successfully integrated.....

Just imagine what could have been......... PS: Franks for the memories Lamps.

He comes across as a genuinely nice bloke. He didnt come across all false by trying to hide where his heart lies, but had some very nice words to say about us, both the club and the fans, and Im sure he will always have a soft spot for us now.
Some good humour shown by both Frank, and us, the fans, during his send off. Mutual appreciation was clearly evident - good stuff.

All the best Frank in NY

As others have said, it was great that Frank signed off his Premier League career with a goal. He had a very good game yesterday and it was a privilege to watch one of English football's all-time - not just the PL era - true greats.

The post-match presentation was very well handled by the club and it was great to see some of his family on the pitch to accompany him.

His little speech was very good and underlined what a classy individual he is.

Best Wishes for your time at NYCFY. I'm sure things will improve for them with your influence in the side.

Top player in his prime and seems a genuinely good bloke. Good luck to him in New York.

Yes, and well done to Ssn this morning saying how the City players, bounced Frank up in the air,"before the kick off".
This it was said seemed to work as he went on to score.
Do they ever get anything correct?.

We really need to have a word with Mike Wedderburn.

Just to repeat, I wasn't knocking Gerrard, just the wank fest when the two departures from the English game are compared, which Lampard wouldn't have wanted anyway.
