Can you imagine! They've done exactly what we did with lopes and Rekik yet you lot are frothing at the mouth and using him as an example of what we don't do. Laughable.

Incorrect mate. Barca insert a buy-back clause on their youngsters and they've already made it clear that they'll get him back either this window or the next.

We absolutely could've done more to keep him. There's a reason we beat out Barca initally for his signature. We got a new manager who most likely gave him no reassurance over his future as evidenced by Pellegrini's handling of Jason and Kelechi and Barca seemed to want him more. We made a mistake with the lad but we have to learn from it but I don't think our system of 2 world-class players per position is going to solve it.

Yup, Barca do it reguarly and they keep an eye on the players development. It's good to see us starting to use it too.

We need to get Jason back and give him a chance he's earned his spurs we need to see what he can do. Its embarrassing enough as it is spending millions on defenders when the answer could be right under our noses for free.

I didn't think City treated Denayer fairly when they got him to sign a new contract expecting to be in the first team conversation and then was shipped to Turkey. Denayer needs to be recalled in view of the injury problems to our center backs. He was very impressive in the pre-season and should get the chance with the first team.

Jason may not be the answer but he should be given an extended run with the first team to prove his worth. This, after all, was the clear intention of building the Academy facilities in the first place.

You tell me? It can't have been because he was desperate to play first team football as he spent the first year in Barca B and then got loaned out - exactly what we would have done with him if he stayed here.

I wish people would stop harping on about Dennis Suarez like he is some gem we have allowed to slip thru our fingers, I have watched a lot of La Liga games this season on the Sky Sports channel which shows a lot of La Liga & I've seen quite a bit of Villareal. Suarez still flatters to deceive just as he did when playing for our EDS side. He will never ever be good enough to play for a really top side.

Suarez still flatters to deceive just as he did when playing for our EDS side. He will never ever be good enough to play for a really top side.

I also seem to remember the one of the draws to Barcelona was his best friend is Gerard delofeou and I think they went on loan together to Savilla before they were both sold.

Not a chance Denis Suarez will be anything more than a Christian Tello at Barcelona, just a sub at best. Thiago's brother Rafinha is a much better player and he's a bit part player.
