I think a few numpties on here need to watch the game again and pay special attention to his performance, that or follow another sport
I inow what you mean but there were two Navas's out there today. Good Navas worked his socks off and always gave us a dependable outlet. Then when he got to the danger area, his evil twin took over who seemed determined to screw us over.Thought he was ok today
Pretty much sums it up for me, although I'm not as clearly in favour of Navas over Nasri. Horses for courses, perhaps. The problem is, people slaughter him for wasting good opportunities, but don't give him any credit for getting into them in the first place. His movement and control is absolutely exceptional, as is his passing, he very rarely loses the ball other than with his diabolical crossing. These positions don't just happen automatically, as we saw against Palace when he didn't play. But the nyou have to weigh that up against how incredibly poor he is when he gets into those positions (which is undeniable)
It's a toss up, would you rather have Nasri, who might waddle into one or two good positions a game but has maybe a one in 5 chance of creating or scoring a goal when he gets there, or Navas, who manages to get into 10 or 15 good positions a game but probably only creates a good chance one out 10? Neither is ideal, but personally I'd rather have the guy who wastes a bunch but creates a bunch than the guy who doesn't affect the game at all. His game is pretty much summed up by his stats, only 2 out of 20 crosses went to one of our players, but he had more key passes than any other player. A few hits and an awful lot of misses.
once again...watch the game again....west ham gave him as much room as he wanted thats why he was in those spaces but they knew he was no threat as every ball went nowhereThe problem is, people slaughter him for wasting good opportunities, but don't give him any credit for getting into them in the first place.
