Delighted he made his mark tonight. Been saying amongst my mates he just needs 90 minutes to show he's more than capable of being a regular this season. He suits our style perfectly and can perform in a number of roles. Unfortunately for him, I think Bony did well tonight too and i thought he did relatively well in the Derby despite little service so i don't expect him to be dropped against Norwich. although saying that, he'll be playing against Sevilla so maybe if Pellegrini is thinking ahead it's the perfect chance to start Kelechi. I'd personally like to see the same front 4 against Norwich and leave Sterling on the bench. Saturdays lineup will be interesting and if Kelechi isn't in it he can consider himself very very unlucky.

Bony did alright, not great though, missed an absolute sitter as well.

I'd really like to see Kelechi get a start on Saturday. Don't think it'll be long until he earns a spot ahead of Bony in the pecking order on merit, but he'll need more minutes to get there.

On current form, at the very least he should be getting the same amount of game time as Bony. Most of us spotted it from the off and he's not proving us wrong, but at his current rate of progression this boy's going to be a star.

Let this be a lesson to Devante Cole of the level you need to be at to succeed at today's Manchester City.

Fuck him starting ahead of Bony, Kun needs to worry about his spot!

Okay, I've been drinking but this guy looks like the real deal. His movement without the ball shows a real hunger!

His chip finished which was ruled offside was pure class and confidence would love him to start.

You make a very valid point about his movement. I observed in the utd game, even though he only had a few touches on the ball, his movement began to give
their defenders some sort of unease, unlike how it was when Bony was playing (no dig aimed at Bony) to the extent that I began to wish the game would last a little bit longer.

Personally I'd drop Bony for him on Saturday and bring Sterling back in.

Bony faded badly again last night and his finishing was so, so poor. Whereas Kelechi showed composure with his chances and picked other players out when he felt they were better positioned - a mark of someone with true world class potential.

Obviously Iheanacho isn't the finished article, but at this moment he's flying and merits a starting spot over Bony.

So does he count as a homegrown player who's broke through the main squad? (ouch ouch! Stop hitting me!)
