I'll be at the game tomorrow if you want to put some questions to me mate.

I know, it's a stupid conclusion to draw. .

Some of the comments on this topic are hard to understand. How can someone who's only just come to the club and played against 3 very average sides already be compared to David Silva. That's bizzarre. Don't forget we did lose the West Ham match, with De Bruyne and without Silva. Silva is the most influential player we have at the club by a mile. Steady on lads, without Silva we aren't the same side and results show that.

Because DeBruyne looks as good or better level of player so far, even though he's barely seen half his team mates before, let alone played with them ?

His performance v West Ham, in the flesh, was right up there with some of the best things I've ever seen watching City. It's common these days to talk of current players as better than those of the past, but I've never seen a player who could lace Colin Bell's boots, including Silva, it's not even close imo, but from an attacking point of view, DeBruyne, v West Ham, was Colin Bell.

I couldn't take my eyes off him. Stuff he was doing when he didn't even have the ball, was remarkable. No idea if he can keep that level up, but if he can, he'll be City's best player, bar none, imo.

I do agree to a certain extent but I assume some of the comments about Silva's place being in jeopardy are at least slightly tongue in cheek.

However, regardless of opposition, if you can't see why everyone's so hyped up about De Bruyne then you're watching the wrong sport.

Could not agree more, i have been thinking the same since the west ham game although only seeing Bell post the Newcastle comeback game I can not compare, age restrictions. I was drooling against West ham and thought he was the best player I have ever seen in a City shirt. The last player I could not take my eyes off during a game was Scott Sinclair v Arsenal, I wanted to go on the pitch and stab him.

Haha.

I know, it's a stupid conclusion to draw. But I'm just speculating really, have no way of knowing.

It's interesting though, because a big key feature of Autism is an obsessive, and meticulous nature.

That could be an advantage in a sport like football, in many respects. Would help a person with those traits be more focused than someone with equal talent but without that obsessive nature.

I'll probably be called a rag again by some other halfwit, but David Beckham has OCD.

All similar spectrums.

And he was no great natural talent, his great strengths, dead balls etc, all take great practice. An obsessive nature, or even disorder, could actually be beneficial to someone in that situation.

A equivalent talent with a laid back causal personality would be at a disadvantage you would think.

I think it's an interesting topic at least.

Gazza and Rooney also OCD.

As I said, don't judge too quickly. Without Silva we are a shadow of the team. Another embarrassing defeat without Silva.

Good again today I thought, problem was the likes of Sterling Navas and a seriously out of form Aguero around him, doubt silva could have done better in those circumstances.
