This is why we love De Bruyne (apart from being a magical footballer):

"I don't want to be a star, I just want to play well. In Wolfsburg, I was the star, but in the end I'm not a man to talk much. I don't want to be captain. That's not my style. I just want to do my thing on the pitch and help out the team. I try to be modest."

"Children look up to you, but I wouldn't know why I'd have to change... I like to keep it quiet, I've never been one to talk and joke."

KDB - Team Player Par Excellence

Sounds a right boring cnut :)

KDB is very well known to have his own opinion and to speak it out loud. He easily gets frustrated by team mates, the coach or the management and he will always tell it straight to their face. If journalists interview him right after a bad game, he can also be very hard for the team and himself.

So the image of the quiet boy is partially true, but certainly not completely. Rumours within Chelsea were that Mou and KDB's ego's couldn't match. KDB made some comments about Mou in his face, and Mou was furious. Until then, KDB played fantastic for Chelsea (best player in preseason, MOTM in his first EPL game), but after that he only sat in the stands.

Dieter Hecking (coach of Wolfsburg) when he was asked if KDB really is a difficult player to handle as a coach, answered that KDB is quite special, and that you have to know him to know how you need to treat him.

Yea I saw him playing when wolfsburg got knocked out of europa last year (they were panned 4-1 or 4 nil I think) and I saw him waiving his arms in frustration when one of their players either played a shit ball or didn't get onto a ball he played. I couldn't decide whether it was a good or bad thing at the time!

Playing with Dave, Yaya, Kun and Raheem instead of bendtner might help, mind

Sounds a right disruptive cnut :)

Saw how pissed off he was with Sterling for playing a sloppy pass against Sunderland. If the rest of the players aren't too precious and defensive about their mistakes then I think this is actually hugely beneficial.

If he keeps putting in performances like he has so far and holds his hands up when he makes mistakes - both of which I expect to happen - he will soon become a leader of the team and captain material, whether he likes it or not.

He is a throwback to what footballers used to be like, modest and getting on with his job to the best of his ability. No big fuss when he scores too a bit like Colin Bell used to do when he scored,a raise of the arm, accept the pats on the back and a trot back to the centre circle.

Seriously world class, said to my old man when we signed him I hadn't seen too much of him and didn't know how good he is, but fuck me, he is already right up there with the Silva's & Aguero's for important match winners
