I don't think he was fully fit against Juve mate, definitely not 100% with his ankle issue.
He was poor though, unusually so.
He's our single most key play though, IMO. Don't look the same side without him.
A fully fit David is what we desperately need right now, really hope he's carefully managed back to fitness and has no more issues.
Ominous? You sure?Agree, but Silva also have mediocre games. He was ominous against Juventus at home, in fact like Yaya he's never really done it for us consistently in the CL.
Still one of my favourite players though.
Why does that matter? If he was misplacing simple passes consistently then sure, but the way he plays in how quickly he moves the ball & how direct he passes means naturally sometimes it doesn't pay off.Isn't great at possession football, but that can be coached into him... 82% pass completion last season and only 77% for us so far whilst everyone around him has high 80's/90's
Kdb will never have a great successful passing ratio mainly because he plays more direct as compared to our other players and tries to play it first time most of the times, he had the worst passing ratio amongst all our midfield players at palace but easily created the more chances, he would really thrive with Silva

We've lacked a player who is willing to take risks with their shooting/passing for a while who also has his ability. If people want to see the best of him they'll need to accept a reasonably low pass % in comparison to some of the safer passers - I for one prefer that, the problem is we don't have someone like Silva on the pitch with him currently to contribute to the other side of it with crazy consistency of passing.
I think & hope the combo of Silva with his crazy accuracy & dictation of games along with KdB directness & speed of play will lead to some great football.
Silva is 100% the key player for City, but KdB is already fast becoming one of our top players himself after only a few games which is impressive in itself.
Ominous? You sure?
Oh, I agree with your analysis, just not your vocabularyVery sure, I was there. He had a good chance to make it 2 nil and created a good chance for Sterling, nothing else.
Silva is one of my favourite players but like Toure he never seems to transfer his PL class to the CL.
