Sadly I think we may not see the real Kdb if we push him out wide. He's not that sort of a flamboyant player like a Silva, Alexis and hazard but he'd do a more than decent job if you play him where he's best suited arguably better than the aforementioned. We saw the way he created chance upon chance against the hammers when he was in the middle but as soon as he moved out to the left, I could barely see him in the game. He scored our only goal yesterday b didn't quite influence proceedings, perhaps because he was out wide again. When Silva returns we'd have to make a decision whether to play him or Silva in the middle. Out of respect for the former, having paid his dues, I'd recommend Silva should play in the middle but I think playing Kdb in the middle might benefit us more as Silva still manages to influence games playing out wide, while his counterpart always seems nullified whenever he's playing wide. This is the challenge of having 2 of the best number tens in Europe in your team.

For me, De Bruyne is the best passing player in the world. He is always looking for the best pass possible for the team and as quick as possible. And he is extremely good at that. Ofcourse he only has passing percentages of 75%-80%, but that's actually very good for his playing style. No top player in the world takes as much risk with his passing as KDB, so KDB will always have the lowest passing percentage of the top players.

In his first games he could have had 10 assists easily already if the other players were more accurate. Started 3 games, has 3 goals. The assists will follow if the other players understand him better and learn to be average finishers.

Umm he gave the ball away unnecessarily a lot yesterday. And when, like yesterday, Silva, Nasri and then Yaya aren't around he can't afford to be looking for the hollywood pass all the time...Entirely lost any flow from midfield when Yaya went off.

"We've lacked a player who is willing to take risks with their shooting/passing". Is that really what we've lacked? been top scorers for 3 of the last 4 seasons

Anyway he's started well and will get better.
Sounds like you agree with what I wrote then, I also said what you just have in that the problem with his style is if we don't have Silva on then it may become detrimental. For me that's his style, that's why he's so effective, I wouldn't want us to stunt him like Mourinho did - I agree in that he will need to learn when and when not to play like that, but you would think (or hope) that more often than not he will be on the pitch with the likes of Silva/Toure & so he can play his natural game.

Top scorers sure, but what matches have we struggled in? Against the weaker teams who put 10 men behind the ball, Nasri is too slow/predictable, Navas everyone knows what he brings, we rely on Silva to pick the perfect pass to unlock it almost every game - I think KdB brings something different with his directness that will help with that.

Still waiting to see Silva, De Bruyne and Aguero in full flow together. Fucking imagine.
