What a free kick and another quality performance. Just concerned that with stoke, MGB and Swansea in the next 11 days he might tire again which is a slight concern as his form dropped off dramatically last time when he played too many games and looked jaded, but great to see him back in good form

Like the Ozil one vs Watford or 2 or 3 of Di Maria's last season, it's not really an assist but it gets lumped in with the others when assist stats come up. It's why stats, whilst useful, aren't everything

It didn't really. When we score goals and play well, De Bruyne will produce great performances. When we don't play well, KdB doesn't.

Yeah, it screws up the stats big time. Err, no. He has done 90% of the work for the goal.

Pure logic that those situations count as an assist. It has been like that for my whole life, and not only in Fantasy Football like some members here seem to think ;).

It didn't really. When we score goals and play well, De Bruyne will produce great performances. When we don't play well, KdB doesn't.

No, when we play crap, he still creates 4 open chances. But the other players fail to finish those chances. His productivity remains the same.

Assist stats are misleading anyway as they only count assists that lead to goals. You could provide some great ones, but if the keeper then makes a save or the teamate spoons it over for instance , there is no acknowledgment ,statistically,of your good play.

Had to admit I had slight reservations about the fee we shelled out for KDB as admittedly I don't watch Bundesliga all that much. Stating the obvious but, damn what a player we have on our hands here now.
