It's obvious that he needs to add goals to his game but he's had a good season otherwise, great workmate, pace, attitude, retention of the ball. One of my PotS.
I'm in agreement. He has really suffered by the loss of Silva and poor full back support this season. It always looked as though his instructions were to just find Silva, and when DS wasn't there he had no one of quality to pass to. Once he decided, or was instructed, to start running into the central areas of midfield he looked more effective. It will be interesting to see how Pep uses him, if he does. It's obvious that he needs to add goals to his game but he's had a good season otherwise, great workmate, pace, attitude, retention of the ball. Yea. It's very hard to judge how a player is going to translate into a very different league. While Navas was a decent enough buy, others haven't. They'll all go back to looking great in slower, less physical leagues. After every team in the world wanting him for so many years once he finally left Sevilla it turned out he wasnt quite the world beater he looked like when he played there
If he went to Italy or back to Spain now he would probably look better than he did before thanks to his time hereYea. Good point. He's adapted to the physicality and speed. If he went to Italy or back to Spain now he would probably look better than he did before thanks to his time here
I think his work attitude was good .his talents were limited but he tried his best .his talents and inability to score always held him back. But his attitude was always good .never saw him strolling around the pitch lost like yaya sometimes did in his last season .I have always felt that apart from stars , a team needs a few players who maybe technically limited but have a good attitude .they never create media stories , just come to practice , work their socks off and deliver on match day whatever they can . they don't lock horns with the boss if they are on bench .the guys wages are also 80k or something I believe . if we want him to be our right winger in first team , we know he just isn't good enuf ,he has his technical limitations .but as a backup for right wing position , he seems perfect .if pep can persuade him to stay in a backup or rotation role , it will be a welcome depth .I'll be gutted if I ever see him in a city shirt again. Admirable player but far, far below the required standard. Its criminal how he has become an integral part of the team, when he fits the profile of an impact sub.
I hope not. Have you seen Nasri's pass completion and dribbling completion stats? They are way above any of the other players you mention. Certainly not a player to ditch in pre-season. I think Navas will be a good squad player. One to bring on in last quarter of game against a tired defence.navas, silva, sterling, kdb will stay.
i think nasri is off.
Strange player in that he has the ability to go past a player with his blistering pace all over the pitch except for the final third where he seemingly loses a yard and his final ball/shot is often sadly lacking.
Works his arse of for the side and i like his attitude but ultimately he isnt a top drawer player and he isnt good enough.
