Zab got the highest player rating in the 0-0 draw between Argentina and Paraguay. Plenty of vital last ditch tackles. Otamendi also did well. Demi didn't play. A long haul back now for the lads.

Play Sagna this weekend.

Probably outta topic, but being covering Pink Floyd's Fearless and when to the end I cannot bear the idea of singing the idiot wailing of the candlewanks cult, so I'm fading it into the Pablo Zabaleta song that merges with we're not really here which fades out with and echoing come on City.

Sagna had played every minute of every game so a rest was always on the cards.
Newcastle at home was the perfect situation to introduce him back into the fold. Let's be clear on this, Zabba is the first choice when fit. As well as Sagna has done he doesn't fit our style of play in the way Zabba does. His movement going forward and the runs he makes to help out his winger are the best in the league.
Sure he was rusty in the early parts of the match but he grew into his role as the game went on.
I think at this point we should all be made up that we've got two great options to fill that position. There's a lot of football to be played between now and May.

So why did we keep five consecutive clean sheets when Bacary was our right-back at the start of the season?

I love Zaba as much as any City supporter, but to suggest Sagna doesn't suit our style of play is just ludicrous!
