Player Topic: Pablo Zabaleta (2015/16)

Much as though Sagna defends well he, Sagna, really offers us nothing going forward.
Pablo Zabaleta on the other hand overlaps well gets round the back of the opposition and turns the defence. In this way he creates two good chances in every game he plays and once we're in front the opposition have to risk more goals conceded to try and get back in it.
I know he's back in training but I really hope he's back for Watford. We need him - Badly!

I'd rather Kompany back if it was possible (I know, 3 or 4 weeks). Sagna has been, on the whole, a more than able replacement for Zabba. The same cannot be said of our various CB pairings.

Sagna played quite well last night .
But Pablo a lot better going forward than Sangna .

Apart from being a very good attacking right back, what we miss most with Zabba being out is his attitude and leadership on the pitch. Something which becomes even more apparent when Kompany isn't playing. That leadership is sorely missed at present and should be a prime consideration when buying anybody in the January transfer window, alongside any positional requirements.

Much as I'd hate to lose Zaba I think that he needs to move if he wants to continue to be a regular starter. Can't see him returning to the level of 2/3 years ago and anything less is not acceptable to us.

But he is Kaz. And I think they had a lot of time for each other. Would hate to see him leave (he's been my favourite player this last few seasons), but none of our heroes (Merlin, Kun, Komps, "Blondie" etc etc) are going to be with us forever. And Sagna has proved a competent stand in this season when Zabba has been out injured.

I just can't see it jimbo,time will tell.He was excellent at the Copa America in the summer so he still has it,if he can sort his knee out he can be useful for a while yet.Move to another country when he is settled here and the chance to work with Pep or go to bobby? i think he will go with the former
