Player Topic: Pablo Zabaleta (2015/16)

Why say anything about him at all? Do you really think he wanted to play LB? He stepped up when the club needed him just like he has done all season long in Zabaletta's abscence. You don't need to abuse a player just to defend your favorite.

It's quite simple. I brought him up because there are posters saying Zaba was terrible on Wednesday. As terrible as he was, he still wasn't as bad as Sagna. I didn't abuse him, I said he was awful.
Zaba is only my fourth favourite by the way.

I think some people are writing Zabaleta off prematurely. He didn't get a break this summer with the Copa America, and then suffered an injury at the start of the season.

He's only made 4 appearances in total so far, so will take time to get match fit. He might not be the same player he was two seasons ago, but he's still more than capable of doing a job for us. He's only 30, ffs.

Yeah, I think Sagna deserves to be first choice on merit at the moment. Zabaleta is a more than capable deputy though.

He looked tired on Wednesday night but will get his lungs back with more game time, Carling cup and Norwich will be more suited to Zabba where we can attack more and get some of those running beyond Navas runs he does so effectively.

Pablo Zabaleta on the other hand overlaps well gets round the back of the opposition and turns the defence. In this way he creates two good chances in every game he plays and once we're in front the opposition have to risk more goals conceded to try and get back in it.
I know he's back in training but I really hope he's back for Watford. We need him - Badly!

Sagna has done a great job to hold the fort,with zab keep getting set backs with the knee ligaments we may never see the zab we love again
