He's a 20 year old lad with far more money than he knows what to do with that's come from a pretty rough area and so has some rough mates. I'd be delighted if the worst thing he's doing is a bit of laughing gas.

A lad died last month taking laughing gas! - steer clear Raheem

I certainly hope that the West Brom fans are fair minded tonight and dont engage in the media inspired boo-athon. I will be very disappointed if this rubbish carries on all season at away games.

As far as i am concerned the only 'crime' he has committed is showing ambition as a footballer, and escaping the premier leagues version of scientology.

He is an outstanding young footballer, with the potential to be a world class player. I can only hope that fair minded fans around the country recognise this and give him a fair go.

I'd be shocked if there's any booing at all from West Brom fans aimed at Sterling tonight.

Wouldn't put it past Sky to add their own sound effects though and Martin Tyler will probably be joining in

Apparently his car was found crashed with laughing gas canisters inside, I don't believe it until I see both reg plates of crashed/uncrashed car otherwise its some dipper making up stuff
Raheem doesn't need laughing gas anymore, playing for City will give him his best smile ever.

Im not sure why he is hated so much..... He is basically the most hated Footballer in the world.

But why? he just moves from a downfalling Club!!

It'll probably happen at a few grounds. The media have brainwashed the average fan into thinking Sterling is 100% at fault for the saga. I can't quite get my head around it myself why anyone but Liverpool should be bothered about it but I saw a page a Twitter page a few weeks back asking if he will be booed around the country and a lot of people said he should be :S.

The fickle fans will soon change their tune when the Euros come around and he's scoring a winning goal in an England shirt.

Looked understandably nervous for me today which is understandable. No doubt he'll improve though the kids only 20 and his talent is there for all to see. Was playing it safe today with his passing and dribbling for me today but he really needs to practice his shooting!

An excellent debut, shame he couldn't cap it by getting on the score-sheet.

Thought sterling was ok tonight, few good runs and touches just a shame for him that he didn't score when through on goal, would have shut a lot of the doubters up for a while,as for the booing was anybody surprised...
