Fucking ridiculous he was getting booed by West Brom fans. Wtf has his transfer to us got to do with them? I'm sure the team will all rally around him and he won't let it affect him.

Thought he started very well then went off the boil. Even though he did he was still such a useful outlet for us. On a good day he would have scored 2 or 3 no problem, the good days will come and it won't be long

Disappointed that Sky acknowledged the booing, and even stated that he 'will have to get used to it' - implying he did something wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong but he didn't train because he was ill, then we PAID money for him, and he came to us, that's how transfers work, is it not?

Also disappointed that West Brom fans booed him, wtf has it got to do with them? I can't imagine ever booing another team's player because he had the audacity to move clubs.

Disappointed most of all that all this took the shine off a decent debut performance - although he should've buried that chance.

The booing from the opposition supporters should give the team that extra bit of focus and motivation.

Silva is rightfully getting a lot of plaudits for his performance tonight, but some of that was down to Sterling too with the amount of players he was taking out of the game with his runs.

I thought as soon as we signed him that silva would shine due to having another runner to create space and to feed, which is exactly what happened in this game.

But nervy on the ball, but that's to be expected in his first game. It's easy to see just from that why Pellegrini was so keen on him. Not just what he could do, but the impact on others.

I thought that too, it's fuck all to do with them. Pathetic fucking twats, no better than fucking sheep.

It shows how effective the media is in this country... people have had it spoon fed to them that Sterling has done something wrong so many times that they actually believe it. I would love to see the boo-boys' answer should they be asked "what are you actually booing for?" None of them even know why. But they do it anyway.

Why did it take the shine of a decent performance? Footballers being booed is no big deal and for most it acts as a motivational tool. I booed at derbies for about 15 years before I saw us win one. Take your point about West Brom fans though.

Impressed with him today, got into some dangerous positions and was tightly marked which in turn left some wide open gaps for Kolarov to run into....

Think he'll be an asset to us and a very dangerous player, seemed to want to do a bit too much today though, needs to just take his time as his game will come!

Also very impressed with how calm he was from the boos he got when being subbed off, a lesser person would have reacted!
