Head went down a couple of times and should have scored but fucking hell he is rapid! Linked well with silva and kolarov down the left. Delighted we got him and he's gonna cause riots for the opposition this season

The booing from the opposition supporters should give the team that extra bit off focus and motivation.

Pretty small time of WBA fans to boo him, his transfer had nothing to do with them. Showing they're just sheep lapping up the media bullshit about us ruining football with our money. I bet when they play Liverpool they'll be goading the scousers about Raheem leaving them though.

It shows how effective the media is in this country... people have had it spoon fed to them that Sterling has done something wrong so many times that they actually believe it. I would love to see the boo-boys' answer should they be asked "what are you actually booing for?" None of them even know why. But they do it anyway.

To be fair I see it as an act of appreciation of how good a player is, We all booed Ronaldo more than any other Real Madrid/United player not just because he's a first class **** but also because he's a great player!

I just wonder if West Brom felt just as aggrieved about when Lescott moved to City from Everton in much wore circumstances considering other transfers that don't concern them seem to bother them so!

Silva is rightfully getting a lot of plaudits for his performance tonight, but some of that was down to Sterling too with the amount of players he was taking out of the game with his runs.

I thought as soon as we signed him that silva would shine due to having another runner to create space and to feed, which is exactly what happened in this game.

But nervy on the ball, but that's to be expected in his first game. It's easy to see just from that why Pellegrini was so keen on him. Not just what he could do, but the impact on others.
Hi! Are you mate, the guy always posted some stuff and press reviews on (mondays the most) the City link of the Ja606 site???

I was following you since years, mate!

Thanks for all your infos given there, and nice to see you here too.

Cheers! :-)

Impressed with him today, got into some dangerous positions and was tightly marked which in turn left some wide open gaps for Kolarov to run into....

Think he'll be an asset to us and a very dangerous player, seemed to want to do a bit too much today though, needs to just take his time as his game will come!

Also very impressed with how calm he was from the boos he got when being subbed off, a lesser person would have reacted!
The thing I was most impressed with was him pulling wide to draw the defender out so Kolarov could nip inside. Showed a real tactical aptitude and if Aleks has one less defender to beat with his lethal crosses they could be even more potent.

If Sterling can use his pace to cover Kolarov occasionally we could see a very successful left wing partnership - one that's taken me by surprise

I know which move you're talking about I noticed that straight away also! Kolarov will abuse that space 8/10 times, it's something Kolarov could do with in his game as well because as for Kolarov beating his man.... well.....

The booing stopped quite sharpish. I reckon that's because some other Baggies fans probably asked them what the fuck they were booing at. Dickheads.

I agree with you on that, and if we can keep our own counsel then we can't go far wrong.

His finishing is a bit of a worry but he is only 20 and apparently it is the easiest part to rectify with practice. I think he was a bit nervous because he was so eager to impress and get off to a good start. His linkup with Silva is so natural and is going to carve open defences and create so many chances for Aguero.
