I agree with all the general comments. He already has a fantastic combination with Kolarov, and he creates space for all our key players. I also think he is going to be a terrific weapon in those away European games, when we will be looking to hit teams on the counter.

I don't know why but for some reason having watched him played couple of games now , I strongly believe he is not yet match fit.
Let's give his turbo engine some time to warm up ,he is going to be amazing. One can only imagine what he would have done to ivanovic at full throttle.

Plus, he needs time to get adjusted to the "man city way".

Sterling looks very good so far but his biggest attribute is that he plays on the left and now silva is in the middle where he is magic.

He was a bit nervous today, maybe after hearing all the over-rated stuff being said about chelsea. Won't be feeling that shite anymore ;). He shows a lot of promise. He was good and yes he plays a vital part with his pace on the left side and allows silva kept in the middle.

He just doesn't have a lot of space to operate in and likely won't in these matches where teams defend deep. That's OK, he can hug his touchline and provide width and cover on the wing as he has done the last few matches. It's very different playing in a team where you'll have 5-7 men at the edge of the box trying to create moves compared to his time at Liverpool. Sterling will be at his best for us when teams are a bit more gung ho and we have opportunities to counter. He's still been keeping defenders honest and as many have said Silva hasn't had as much space to operate in in years. Eventually the time will come for Raheem to shine but these matches weren't the right types of matches for his best attributes.

If I have any criticism it's that his passing has been a bit loose compared to our other players. A few too many under hit / over hit balls and a little off the pace. This is something he's sure to develop as he plays more within our setup.

A lot of players his age would flounder in the first few games at a new/bigger club. Given the move, money involved, and events surrounding it...

I think he has done brilliantly well so far.

Gave the ball away too much today but his presence and threat was a major factor in our win. Raheem's confidence will increase dramatically when he bags his first goal.

Anyone got a stat for his passing yesterday. Don't remember him giving it away. Not sayin it didn't happen btw just curious as to how many times he did give it away.

There were a couple of misplaced passes but I think he's still getting used to our more measured style of play compared to Bodgers 100mph frantic stuff.
