What an outstanding talent, we look absolutely lethal with him in the side. He's given us a whole new dimension.

Very transformative with his hard work on D also, really gives cover for Kolarov, and as such we don't have to just accept being vulnerable on that side in exchange for the service/extra free kick element that Aleks provides.

Anyone watching mnf? Carragher saying Ramires stayed out wide yesterday instead of covering the central area. Blatantly obvious mourinho didn't fancy ivanovic vs sterling. This lad is going to open up a lot of space for us.

I think he's been excellent so far. Linked up really well with the team and caused a lot of problems. He has been kept out of the limelight by others but he just needs to keep doing what he's doing because he is a key component in our machine.

Every time he hit the deck yesterday the ref blew for a genuine foul lol.

Yep, I still think he came as, and has a rep for being, a flopper. Glad to see that changing at City, because there is no room for it in our team. Thought he had a decent home debut, but in a game where real world superstars were on show and playing 9/10 performances, it was never going to be his day to shine. Slow and steady wins the race and getting him bedded in to the way we play is the most important thing. I just hope he can learn to not lose the ball, like Jovetic had a tendency to do, because we like to attack in numbers and losing the ball when we are going forward, especially if Kolarov/Clichy have already overlapped, is where we look exposed.

Solid start to his City career, and I look forward to him getting off the mark.

So much been said about him in only the last few pages and it's all correct and vital and one can hardly expand with anything worthwhile that hasn't already been stated. We're all very excited by Sterling already and what he brings to the team, he has raised the potential to actuality of our quality, perhaps under performing stars recently by two points out of ten. That's been his immediate impact and he'll become even more instrumental, what an acquisition he has been.
