Did well. Gives the ball away a fair bit and I think he's playing a little conservatively (not let rip yet) at times, but he's giving us something we've not had since we had Wright-Phillips and Bellamy attacking wide with pace.

I think he had 95% success rate with his passing. Also set up Kolarov and Silva's strike against the post.

Not bad for a conservative player who gives it away a lot.

;-)

Lol,his post was almost apologetic.

I'm a little disappointed with his touch, timing and football intelligence but that's ok. As others have said he is contributing very well. He just has a lot of room for improvement and plenty of time to get there so no pressure.

Doesn't look anywhere near worth £44m but again who cares. He has no pressure on him from club or fans.

Tony, set up the goal today that put us on the way to a very valuable 3 points at a very tricky away venue...overall contribution might not have been dazzling but that run and pass to Kola is what £44m players can do...win points

I feel like he's still building up confidence in the team. He's getting there and the assist will do him a world of good, getting on the scoresheet is the next step. Like most have said, it's not just the threat he offers down the left, but his presence alone is giving the team so much more space in other areas of the pitch. He's heading for a great season.

His football intelligence ?

He's above 95% of the Premier League on that score. His tactical job for the team compared to most other kids of his age, especially the Engilsh ones, is on another planet.

Sterling is going to be over analysed all season long. One bad game and the price tag will come up. He's playing in a role the manager clearly wants him to and being highly effective as part of the left hand side with Kolarov and Silva. For me he's had a very good start just missing a goal.

I agree gat he contributed very well today, e.g. the assist. But he is not as smart as he could be in terms of positioning, use of the ball, weight if the ball, etc. You can tell that the others are bringing him along so very forgiving.

Notice Yaya's reaction when Navas struck straight at Howard before Nasri's goal. Not so forgiving.

I'm not criticising Sterling. I just thought that he was better than what we are seeing....but I'm not bothered because I'm confident he'll get a lot better.

Shows the difference in levels between Liverpool and real contenders. I bet Coutinho wouldn't look quite as world class if in our squad.

Not sure what you're seeing but Coutinho doesn't look world class at the scousers.

Sterling is already more effective and 3 years younger.

Average performances so far.

Contributes merely by being on the pitch because the opposition are worried to death about his pace.

Much more to come from him and he is just a young lad so lots of time for him to improve considerably.
