Sterling is making a big contribution just by being a fast left sided player. He's yet to hit his stride and when he does .....
 
I loved two of his passes today....obviously the one to Kolarov for the goal but also that little pass to Silva when he hit the post....excellent play.
 
His touches and passes are weakening is play,but in all he got an assist and who cares if he didn't score today.
 
He does his bit defensively. Really liking the difference he's making. Great assist yesterday and could have had more. Well done.
 
I think he has rejuvenated our team. I think his impact has been that strong. He is fast, got good ball control and that asset has allowed our other good ball players more freedom to express their talents. He started out very well today, I thought but went downhill shortly after the first half and I was not surprised he was subbed but he is only 20 and he is going to be a quality signing for us.
 
I thought he had a great game yesterday. At first I didn't think he would be worth the amount we paid but yesterday he really showed why we bought him and it is more for the things that aren't obvious. He hassled them and caused problems and because he is so dangerous he also draws out their defence because they try to support which opens gaps in the middle. Some of the interplay with Silva was also sublime and as Gary Neville said at one point, we look so dangerous on every attack because he is so quick but then to defend against it you can't just leave Silva off the ball because if he gets it you will get punished.
