It wasn't a dive. There was contact, in that situation, you go down.
Bullshit, the **** dived. As I said previously, I don't care if it's for England, as their fans obviously accept that shit, City fans won't (I hope). That fucker Johnson done it playing for us, and I was glad to see the back of the cheat.

Aguero has dived for us a fair few times, will you be happy to see the back of him? Or is it only shit players who dive?

Did you just call one of our own players a "****"? Take a hard long look at yourself mate

Really? He's the most honest striker I've seen play in some time.. And is constantly praised for it by pundits & the like - just look at the goal against QPR, clearly fouled where 99% would go down and he stays on his feet to become a legend.

Feel free to find some clips & prove me wrong but I honestly don't remember him diving for us & am pretty surprised to hear anyone say that. I'm sure he might have gone down easily once or twice, but it's such a rarity & so common to see him stay up where others go down.

I'm with the majority on here, City players shouldn't be diving, it's something I've always been so happy with this team for - you watch Chelsea players, big guys, Costa/Ivanovic/Cahill alongside the smaller guys flopping under no contact and it's so cringeworthy to see.

Toure for me is the only City player who consistently goes down too easy for my liking, he's a big guy and sometimes when he loses the ball just flops in an attempt to salvage the situation - not having that, should get back up and win it back.

On Sterling; I haven't seen him dive for City yet, and hope he removes it from his game, he's good enough to go past people & would like to think other City players will drill him to the same standards they set.

I don't blame City players for going down a little easily, when they rarely get the freekicks they deserve. Yaya can go for 20 yards with 2 lads kicking the shit out of him, then he inevitably loses the ball because he's been impeded yet gets nothing.

If we got what we deserved then we wouldn't need to occasionally make the point.

+1 to all of that.

I've seen/noticed Aguero do it on a few occasions and when I say a few I literally mean a handful, I couldn't find videos if I tried as the games elude my memory unless I type "Aguero dive" in youtube and hope some bitter **** has posted videos. Going down easy is the same as diving in my eyes it's just people's way to try and gloss over a dive, if you're able to stay on you're own two feet then do so, people saying "he went down easy" are the same people who say "he was just offside" its a dive or a foul and you're either onside or not.

For me a dive is no contact (or you have made the contact yourself that wouldn't have naturally happened e.g. Young) and a blatant con, and going down easy is going down under minimal contact where it shouldn't be a free kick but not necessarily a booking either. But I suppose that's just how you interpret the terminology & each to their own.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree because for me if I was picking a group of "most honest" players in the PL then Aguero would be one of the first names on my list. But this is the Sterling thread so I'll leave it there.

I think there is a distinct difference. Going down easy will be as a result of some contact, no matter how light. A diver just needs to feel the breath of his opponent and he hits the floor
