Get the feeling Pellegrini doesn't rates him deep down. Has been brought off in every single game he has played so far and in both the last two games, he has been the first non injured player to be brought off when things aren't going too well.

He'd much prefer Navas over Sterling but you cannot bench someone the director of football has just paid £44m for.

It's a known fact he can't play a full 90 minutes, this was also highlighted by Liverpool fans when at Liverpool, if he had the stamina for a full 90 Navas would have been the one to be brought off as he was our worse performer today!

Poor today. Lacking in confidence and/or fitness. Best game has been playing down the middle second half v Watford. Just looks awkward on the left when he so favours his right foot.
did sterling play on the left for dippers also?

I didn't realise he was on the pitch today - very subdued performance, a far cry from the opening home fixture V Chelsea.

But he ain't a 44 million player - Liverpool slapped that ridiculous price tag on him.

I would say he is half that value - he ain't a poor player just needs to find that mojo.

Not nearly as bad yesterday as some are making out. Just before he came off he beat his man and put in a delicious cross that should have been headed in. When he did come off we lost all the momentum we had. There was no need to make a change at that point as we were doing fine and creating lots of chances, just not putting them away. Poor substitution.
