We are so much better with him on the pitch. Crazy decision yesterday to take Raheem off and put Wilf on - unfortunately Bony does not suit the way we play. No pace and no where near mobile enough for our team.

I honestly believe we should have scored at least one in the second half if pellegrini wouldn't have changed it. We were all over them from both sides.

What do people think his best position for us actually is? I think he's very predictable on the left and too many chances end up falling on his left foot which he only uses to stand on. Playing centrally is not really an option because of Silva and De Bruyne. Playing on the right might perhaps give him more shots with his right foot, and maybe he can just put his foot through it more instead of the side-footed efforts he produces from the left. He cant really cross, which is a negative to having him on the right, but he can't be any worse than Navas. De Bruyne influenced the game almost immediately from the left when he came on v Palace. Maybe it would be worth trying it that way round, with Silva in the middle (when fit?).

Though to be honest, we have three exciting players, but no ideal way to get them all in the same team. At least not in my opinion anyway.

So we have a fantastic front 4, 2 of whom we are not sure what their best position is despite spending a 100m ?

I can't speak for everyone else, but personally I'm not sure what position is Sterling's best. As for the other 3... no, we know exactly where their best position is. The problem is that for Silva and De Bruyne, that best position is identical.

It is a little strange though I admit, to buy players for around the £50m mark and maybe not even play them in their best position. We may even have to play Silva out of position, to benefit the team as a whole (since Silva has proven he can be just as good from the wing). It's great to have these players, but there's no combination of the four of them that doesn't have a drawback.

He was unlucky controlling the ball. I watched the game again and he was playing like Lukaku :-).

Brilliant player, but I find it strange how often he trips over the ball when hes cutting inside, almost as if hes playing with a football too big.

Needs to sharpen his finishing but we knew this when we signed him and at 20 he is a very special talent.

I am assuming he is taking off Sterling because he is a young player & is protecting him from overdoing it & picking up injuries in games, rather than for tactical reasons.

We always look better with Sterling on the pitch so I'm hoping that's what it is anyhow.

He has almost always been substituted for Pool, I think its due to stamina of younger players. They need to be eased into full 90 min mode, ow fear of burnout or injuries.
