Really? He's the most honest striker I've seen play in some time.. And is constantly praised for it by pundits & the like - just look at the goal against QPR, clearly fouled where 99% would go down and he stays on his feet to become a legend.

Feel free to find some clips & prove me wrong but I honestly don't remember him diving for us & am pretty surprised to hear anyone say that. I'm sure he might have gone down easily once or twice, but it's such a rarity & so common to see him stay up where others go down.

I'm with the majority on here, City players shouldn't be diving, it's something I've always been so happy with this team for - you watch Chelsea players, big guys, Costa/Ivanovic/Cahill alongside the smaller guys flopping under no contact and it's so cringeworthy to see.

Toure for me is the only City player who consistently goes down too easy for my liking, he's a big guy and sometimes when he loses the ball just flops in an attempt to salvage the situation - not having that, should get back up and win it back.

On Sterling; I haven't seen him dive for City yet, and hope he removes it from his game, he's good enough to go past people & would like to think other City players will drill him to the same standards they set.
Good post.

I fucking hate diving/divers. Don't want to see any City players at it for club or their country. It's embarrassing seeing it.

He's come into the City side and straight away given us that injection of pace that we so badly needed on the left and he is a fantastic signing and will only improve from where he is today. The one thing that annoys me is he seems to cut inside far too deep when he lays the ball off to the left back, have noticed it in his first few games with Aleks but particularly with Shaw on Tuesday night... He'll have the ball on the touchline, lay it off to his left back but then instead of going down the line to make a run inside towards the box he seems to cut in straight away about halfway into their half which is far too deep!

Only a minor complaint though and he is a very exciting footballer to watch as are all four of our scarily-good attack now!

Had a rag workmate dissing Sterlings performance for England against the Swiss, telling me how much better the £58 million whathisname will be. Let him prattle on so I have ammo for Monday morning.

I can see going down if you are fouled. It's instigating or trying to instigate contact and then flopping or just pretending there was contact and going down that is the problem. As others have said, City rarely get the calls anyway and they'd never get them if they stumbled around to stay on their feet.

Raheem should stay being excellent at just club level for City in the PL.
When he steps up to England's international side he is out of his depth. Perhaps its the presence of all those other English stars around him that phases him ?

He's clearly been learning from Silva. Loves to do Silva's trademark, stop and spin that he does so beautifully. Slightly disappointed he didn't run at opponents much today. I do hope we don't coach some of his directness out of him with our possession based football.

I noticed that too. And a couple of clever reverse balls too, which Silva does so well.

I've seen/noticed Aguero do it on a few occasions and when I say a few I literally mean a handful, I couldn't find videos if I tried as the games elude my memory unless I type "Aguero dive" in youtube and hope some bitter **** has posted videos. Going down easy is the same as diving in my eyes it's just people's way to try and gloss over a dive, if you're able to stay on you're own two feet then do so, people saying "he went down easy" are the same people who say "he was just offside" its a dive or a foul and you're either onside or not.

cant agree there at all mate I`m afraid!! there is times Sergio could and should have gone down but tried to stay on his feet!! loads of times he has been flattened and got fuck all from the refs! remember Southampton away last season where we won 3-0? absolute stone wall penalty and Sergio got booked for fucking diving?!?!?

I criticised Aguero for a dive last year. Was the only time I'd seen him do it and I was really disappointed.

Saw a different angle a day later and his foot was clearly clipped. Think it was against Moscow.

There was one at QPR where he looked like he dived when he'd overrun the ball but the replay showed he clipped by the keeper. I don't think Aguero does dive

Bullshit, the **** dived. As I said previously, I don't care if it's for England, as their fans obviously accept that shit, City fans won't (I hope). That fucker Johnson done it playing for us, and I was glad to see the back of the cheat.

Calling a City player a **** you moron
