A player this majestic deserves to be gracing the Champions League final. Can we please put a team together capable of this and reward him for resisting the temptation to head off to sunny Spain?
Spot on, Come on City sort it out.

I hope he doesn't get fed up of CL let downs before we can sign a few more close to his level
I see Nick Cage is back in another well-timed appearance. lol

And likewise for The Wizard as well.I think that would be the only reason that at some stage both may want to leave us,if we don`t sign a couple more world class type midfielders. Both deserve to be in a side that does its best to get past the last 16 and sorry I know its only "half time" with Barca, but my head rules my heart and I can`t see us progressing this season.

I bet when he left Atletico he wouldnt ever thought that Atletico actually will do better in CL level next few years than mega rich City he is joining.
Lets hope he rates Capital One Cup more than CL because I dont see us really challenging for CL later stages with current squad/manager. Either big squad rebuild is needed with top class quality brought in (Pogba, Hazard , Reus, Koke level...) or huge improvement on Pelle or probably both.

While the minimum requirement of surviving group stages are also not something remarkable maybe for the Basels, Leverkusen and Schalkes, for them its a real achievement, for us not so much...

He is in for the long haul. There are no signs he is going to jump ship because of our Champions League performances.

While it's unlikely he'd jump ship, we really need to surround him with better talent. And we can start by getting his boy Messi over here :)

His performance in the second half was unreal. He bullied Pique and Mascherano, held the ball up brilliantly, was skipping past players at will. And the goal was fantastic - the acceleration to reach the ball first was unbelievable.

It's true that you can't help feeling that he (and Silva) deserve a better chance at going all the way in the Champions League.

After they went 2-0 up, his head was down and he must've been thinking 'why do I continue to play with this lot of jokers?', I know I was!!
