The latest I've heard is that they're hopeful for the first leg against Barca....

Where did you hear this? Huge news if he's fit for that game.

The same source that told me that Ferny was going to be out for the Chelsea game. Exact words "Aguero might be fit for Barcelona - fingers crossed". We can't obviously legislate for him having a setback but that's the feeling at the moment. Here's hoping...

Thanks, I'll obviously have to hunt you down if you're wrong though.

Well, like the Fernandinho post, which nearly got me lynched early Monday morning (to the point where I was conflicted between praying he'd be playing somehow - in spite of the fact I knew he definitely had an injury - and waiting for it to be proved true), I can only tell you that this is factual as of today :-)

I would rather Aguero had both legs functioning for Barca ;)
I hope they don't rush him back and are 100% he wont breakdown,id rather wait and have Sergio straining at the leash, than Sergio struggling, its such a shame he got injured v spurs because that first 20/30 minutes he looked unplayable

One of the best performances I have ever seen by a footballer, for City or anyone else - he was on fire in that opening spell. He was unplayable. I am sure he will come back chomping at the bit and I think he has his eye on our all time record goal record for a season!

Not everything descends into an arguement. ALRIGHT!

IT DOES

-- Thu Feb 06, 2014 8:04 pm --

Yup he just gets better and better. I pray he comes back and stays fit for the rest of the season.

Re: Sergio Aguero

He is absolutely THE best player I've ever seen in a Blue shirt. Just been watching him sing on the other thread and it lead me to other videos of him. One was a 12 min comp of his skills/dribbling etc and the goals of course. As he is banging them in all the time, you tend not to concentrate on his phenomenal work rate and skill.

Just fucking stunning.

Another Paul Clennam exclusive; seems to have the inside track on most things city.

Manchester City could receive a triple injury boost ahead of their Champions League last-16 clash with Barcelona, Goal has learned.

MAN CITY LATEST

Manchester City are 9/1 with PaddyPower to beat Norwich 3-0

Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri and Fernandinho have all resumed some level of training over the last few days and are likely to be back for the Capital One Cup final against Sunderland at Wembley on March 2.

Aguero returned to first-team training on Wednesday despite manager Manuel Pellegrini warning that the Argentina striker could be out for around a month with the hamstring injury he picked up in the 5-1 win against Tottenham at the end of January.

Nasri also trained without a protective leg brace which was protecting the knee injury he sustained against Newcastle on January 12. The former Arsenal man had returned to training well ahead of schedule on January 28, and has been using the brace and heavy strapping to aid his recovery.

He will resume full first-team training in 10 days' time and although the first leg against Barca at the Etihad Stadium could come too soon, he should be back in contention for the return at Camp Nou on March 12.

Fernandinho is also in light training after picking up a thigh injury, and City are hopeful the Brazilian will be training with the rest of the squad by next week.
